Kanguro X2 chain roller and slider

Post by Pauli » 12 Jun 2019, 19:51

Hi,

My Kanguro has really not been yet on the road for more than test rides and I couldn't help noticing the terrible noice  the chain keeps.
Well, the reason is that the lower chain roller didn't have any surface material left (nylon probably) but the bearing was there; metal against metal. :(
This roller seems easy to replace with cheap commercial alternatives. What is the diameter of the original (must be at least 45mm)?
Also the swing arm upper chain 'slider' - or what ever you may call it - there was nothing left other that the small bolt and a couple of small bits of nylon.
Finally the questions:
The upper 'slider' - what does it look like (height etc) and if I want to make a replacement myself? Or where can I buy one? :?
Have spent long time trying to google etc...
Any pictures anyone might share with me?

Thanks

Hi Pauli,

Gini Mauro from the Italian Moto Morini Club makes/sells the lower roller. I have bought one from him, see this page.

Here you see them on the table when I bought one back in 2010.

If you create an account on the morinispecial.it page and log-in, you'll see an extra link in the top-menu: "Angolo Tecnico". If you open that link, you'll find the parts catalogue of the Kanguro X2 under "Cataloghi Parti di Ricambi" to download.

I believe partnumber of the slider is 19.02.40, but I don't know where to get one. Try Tremezzo.de, or if they don't have one, try of these German suppliers (see the link page):

Heim
Dieter Hoffmann
or Moto Stefano

Hello Dieter,
Don't understand what's wrong with me - I did register myself but don't seem to find such links to the parts catalog! :?
Is there any possibility to give a direct link or even send an email attachment if I provide my mail address???
Thanks
Pauli

Hello Pauli,

sorry, I am not Dieter, but I understand the confusion, because I meant the German workshops:

- or Heim,
- or Dieter Hoffmann
- or Moto Stefano
(these three are listed on the link page).

Anyway, just downloaded the X2 parts catalogue. Will send it to your e-mail address. You don't have to mention it here. As I am the administrator of this Forum, I can see your e-mail address :D

There is a guy in Italia who makes the sliders too, Mauro Gini probably knows him. I don't have contact details...
