Front wheel spindle 1962 Corsaro

The US models of the Corsaro were called Hurricane, Cyclone or Jaguar.
In the US, Sbarazzino was called Thunder Chief

Front wheel spindle 1962 Corsaro

Post by wesley » 26 Jun 2017, 15:26

Hi, I'm having trouble removing the front wheel spindle on my Corsaro refurb'. could it just be seized or is the flat sided stud in the right hand fork leg bottom some kind of lock screw?

In the Corsaro parts catalogue there are 2 pictures of 2 types of front forks. The first type used until 1961, the second one from 1961 onwards.

First type

On the picture above, bolt-nut 47-8 seem to lock the front spindle.

Second type

There does not seem to be a bolt-nut to lock the front spindle.

Which type does your bike have?

If you have taken off the front fork of the bike/frame, put it in a vice and use a spanner which fits properly. Use penetrating oil or let that lower part soak in diesel for a few days. Diesel has an excellent penetrating capacity.

Hi 350 V,

Do you have a link to this parts catalogue that I could use?
This diagram would be very helpful when I rebuild my forks as the first picture looks just like my Sbarazzino :)

Regards

Andy

Yes, of course:

1. go to www.morinispecial.it
2. register on that website of the Italian Morini Club
3. then at the top in the menu you can find "Angolo Tecnico" and in that section you'll find "Cataloghi Parti di Ricambio" (or part catalogues)

That should do the trick
