My '94 Morini Excalibur 350

Hi, I've just registered on this forum,...I'm from Vicenza, Italy and I have a Moto Morini Excalibur 350 from 1994,...I call it "Morina"!
I've travelled a lot around Italy and Europe in the past, and now I have a problem on the forks: they're very soft and the right one is leaking oil.
Do you know the exact procedure to change the forks oil and the fork seals on this lovely motorbike please?
Maybe with some pictures step by step and/or a video?
I will be really appreciate!

Hello and welcome to the Forum :!:

Yes, a Polish friend of mine, also has given his Morini a name. In the Netherlands that is not usal.

The procedure to change the fork oil should be in the owners manual.
What you do is take a bowl to catch the used/old oil and put it below a forkleg. Undo the small bolt at the bottom of the forkleg. Then push the bike down a number of time to "pump" out the oil. Then do the other side.
Put back the bolts and open the fork at the top with a special tool. Poor-in the requested amout of oil (300cc?? per leg). Make sure to use the correct thickness of oil. In the late 78-82 350 Sport/Strada models,
30 W is a very good thickness of oil. In my own 1973 Strada, I use much thinner oil (10 W or 15 W, not sure). Have a look if you find the thickness in the owners manual.

To renew the seals, you have to take the fork legs out of the top and bottom yoke. With a screw driver you can pull-out both seals per leg. Each leg has got 2 seals. Go to a shop where they sell bearings. There you can buy the correct size seals. Get 4.

Best way to operate:
1) empty the legs (take out the oil);
2) take out each leg to replace the seals. Clean the inside of each leg while doing the job;
3) check the inside legs of damage from small stones and also check if the inside legs are straight by rotating them on a piece of glass;
4) push in 2 seals per leg;
5) place the legs back into the jokes and secure them with the bolts in the top and bottom yoke;
6) fill each leg with new oil;
7) ready.

I have no pictures, but our Club has a manual in Italian/English on the Marzocchi fork, showing all the steps with drawings.

I would like to see the Marzocchi forks manual for better understanding the steps to do without making mistakes, I can't find it in the Morini Nederland website, can you send me the link of this manual please?

Yes, in both manuals there is a good explanation of:

1. replacing the fork oil and
2. replacing the seals

It it shown with clear, hand-drawn pictures.

Devo prima fare delle riparazioni alla moto (forcelle, paraoli, corona-pignone-catena ecc.) e poi forse andro' al raduno Morini di Galzignano terme a Padova.

Hi everybody! I need your help if anyone has an electrical schema of a 350 excalibur 1994! I have two red wires comming out of the generator and do not know where to connect them.Thank's a lot!

Well,sory for the ignorance....I am just new on this forum (wich I didn't really think it's still working)...Originally I am romanian and last 22 years I used to live in Canada.Last year I established my residence back in Europe and bought this bike. I love it a lot and I have to do few little jobs on it.It is not big deal but I don't know-and is hard to find a good mechanic-how to connect properly the wires.I think the ignition is a Ducati-pretty much sure about. Few months ago I saw on this site some electrical schemas but I don't find them anymore. I didn' think is so hard to find parts and information about this bike.If you could help me,I would apreciate .Thank's a lot. Have a nice weekend! Happy Easter!

Well, he only two red ones I can think of come out of your pick-up on the lefthandside of the bike (not the generator). They should go to the transducers, you only need to find out which one sparks which cylinder?

:idea: On the diagram/schematic, the 'pick-up' is shown as 'ign pulser', or ignition pulser. A small magnet, rotating causing pulses in the round housing. The housing can either be red or black.
